We must faithfully preach and teach the whole counsel of God—we must never deviate from the truth of Scripture. We must never yield to the temptation to remove the block of stumbling, or cave to the impulse to entertain for the sake of acceptance. We must preach the block of stumbling and the stone of offense—we must preach Christ and Him crucified. Moreover, we must remember, as Paul has told us, “whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame” (Rom. 9:33).
