LOVE, & LIVE FOR CHRIST
Evident Student Ministry exists to help students know Christ, love Christ, and live for Christ. Our desire is to create a place where middle school and high school students can grow in their faith, build meaningful friendships, and be encouraged by the truth of God’s Word.
Each week, students gather in a welcoming and energetic environment where they can have fun, connect with one another, and be challenged to follow Jesus in their everyday lives. We want Student Ministry to be a place where students feel known, supported, and pointed toward Christ.
WHAT to EXPECT
We meet every Wednesday from 6:30PM–8:30PM. Our evenings are designed to help students connect with one another, hear biblical teaching, and grow in their faith together. Everything we do — from teaching, to small groups, to events and outings — is centered on helping students grow into faithful followers of Jesus. We want students to leave encouraged by the gospel, grounded in God’s Word, and equipped to live out their faith in everyday life.
Biblical Teaching
The first half hour with each other, the students gather for teaching as Pastor Nathan opens God’s Word and shares a message aimed at helping students understand the Bible and grow in their walk with Christ. This time also helps prepare students to engage more confidently in regular Sunday services.
Intentional Time Together
After the message, students break into age-based small groups:
Middle School: 6th–8th Grade
High School: 9th–12th Grade
During small groups, students talk through questions from the message, share what they are facing in life, and encourage one another in faith. This is an important part of the night because it gives students a chance to process truth together and grow alongside peers in a similar stage of life.The Toddler classroom holds up to 8 children and we have a 1:4 teacher to child ratio.
Meaningful Relationships
The first and last half-hour we give the students open free-time, which gives students plenty of chances to play games (9-square is the favorite), interact, laugh, and build community together.
MYSTERY WEDNESDAYS
Throughout the year, we occasionally change up the normal schedule with Mystery Wednesdays. These special nights bring variety and fun to Student Ministry and give students even more ways to build community together.
Mystery Wednesdays may include:
Movie nights
Pickleball
Board game nights
Sledding nights
Bonfire nights
Outdoor services
These evenings are always a highlight and help make Evident Student Ministry a place students look forward to each week.
OUTINGS & RETREATS
We also love creating opportunities for students to connect outside of Wednesday nights.
One of the biggest highlights each year is our Winter Camp Retreat, typically a Friday–Sunday trip where students can step away from the normal pace of life to worship, grow closer to God, and deepen friendships with one another.
We also enjoy outings like C.J. Barrymore’s and Cedar Point, giving students shared experiences that are fun, memorable, and relationship-building.
